My name is Andreas Schwall. I’m working for IBM Germany and I'm located in Berlin.
I’m having at least two alter egos. „business“ (executive) and „hobby“ (musician). I’m playing guitar since light years and because of advancing technology my computer is able to play some other instruments and is managing recording tasks as well. Nevertheless, I’m playing guitar for recreation. Since I participate the „Corporate Social Responsibility Project“ of IBM Germany called SAWUBONA (sawubona-musicjam.com) I rediscovered my passion for composing and performing my music for charity.
Beside me, my daughter (3) is participating this wonderful project, too! Together with her Kindergarten (bilingual pre-school) we did the song "Rainbow Scatterings" together. That was a great experience for both of us. Being a role model is crucial! For me as a father and as a manager!
It’s a matter of „collaboration“! It’s virtual! It’s international! And it’s multi-cultural! It's NOT a question of ability, language, age, religion or belief. It's a project without frontiers.
Come and play "MUSIC WITHOUT FRONTIERS"
My favorite music is:
Faithless, SEEED, Pink Floyd, The The, Peter Gabriel, Kings of Leon, Madrugada, Keith Jarret, Simple Minds, Tears For Fears, Ultravox, Depeche Mode, Cure............80's stuff, 90's stuff, classic (cello), jazz (guitar e.g. Thom Rotella), and and and and.......
My favorite author is:
Dr. Hoimar von Ditfurth (german author & scientist, who wrote books about the evolution of mankind and behavior)
Where do you find your music?
......by the people I meet. Here or everywhere I go and listen.....
Hello Andreas, I feel as though I have really let you down. My friend and composer was very ill the past couple of weeks and I've just learned of this. I salute you and the great musicians and planners of the Sawubona Project. Keep me posted and maybe with more time I can be a part of future projects. I do so want to work with you and to come to Germany soon. Thank you for all of the encouragement. I'll be releasing a new video soon, you'll be among the first to know.
Stay jazzy my friend,
Rita
