Heres a little research list and buried treasures/ Pharoh Saunders (sax) * The Head Hunters "God make me funky"(Herbie handcocks band) Mandrill "Positive thing" (this is a group originally from panama via Newyork 1973 or 4) You will like them tremendously it was a double album set. Lastly (for now) Donald Bird and the Black Birds / Dr Donald Bird was a trumpet man from the DC area they were pioneers of todays smooth Jazz although credit is not properly assigned. Jessica Cleves had a solo effort that may be hard to find but she would be my 'diva' pick to search out heres why, she was the foundational 3RD part of wonderlove, Stevie wonders initial back up voices in the 70's Jessica cleves, Minnie Ripperton, and Deniece Williams, later Tina marie replaced Minnie who passed away. Jessica was the voice along with Philip bailey on the Earth wind and fire album "Last days and time" The song to hear is "Keep your head to the sky" for her piercing range. She was a jazz singer from the heart. Salaam Alikim Ju

As Salaamu Alaikum My Sister: Thank you for the nice comment about Celestial Choir. Even though it was written a few years before 9/11 I think it's title, feel and "voices" make it an appropriate tribute song. Hope you have a fabulous weekend. Peace

As Salaamu Alaikum Sister Taalibah: I hope you have been having an enjoyable weekend. This is an
invitation to check out a new post...Celestial Choir (Salaam's Mix). It's the second song I wrote when I got my first digital piano in 1999, a New Age piece that I am dedicating to the victims and families of 9/11. Would you please let me know what you think. Thanks Peace & Stay blessed.
