Drummer * Educator * Producer * Recording Artist * Composer
Larry’s passion for music began when he was growing up in Detroit, Michigan. He began playing drums at a very young age, and knew even then that music and performing would become his career. Larry has recorded, performed and toured with some of the world’s top recording artists and musicians both in the United States and internationally.
Building on his success as a drummer, Larry moved into the producer’s chair, and his work has been featured in Commercials, Television and Film. His skills are in demand for Soundtrack and Foley projects. He continues to compose, record and produce projects, most recently creating music for The National Fibromyalgia Association. He has received numerous awards for his composition work on the Power (PSA) with narrator Jeffrey Osborne. Giving back to the community is very important to Larry, and he is actively involved with several Los Angeles based charities.
In 2008, Larry founded Rhythmworkz, an organization dedicated to keeping music programs alive in schools. His involvement in the Reno, Nevada schools, gave Rhythmworkz lots of media exposure, and the band kids he reached were excited beneficiaries of new percussion equipment. Larry plans to continue this important project, and impact many more schools throughout the US as Rhythmworkz grows.
Larry is actively developing and participating in Clinics and Workshops for educational institutions throughout the country. In June 2009, He was part of the Contemporary Drums & Percussion Camp in Orlando, Florida. Larry is focused on reaching out to younger musicians, and sharing his knowledge and experiences, in a positive and motivational workshop environment.

As I write about wine and food at my website and my husband and I love jazz anyway, your music makes me want to have a nice dinner add some wine while listening to your music! Keep up the great work with expanding jazz's fan base too with the programs you developed. Do you perform in Sacramento or the Bay Area often?
