About Me:
I am a musician and educator from Grambling, Louisiana where I also teach music classes, jazz ensemble, and guitar at Grambling State University. I am the church musician at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church of Ruston, Louisiana, and guitarist/keyboardist for Dorsey Summerfield & The Polyphonics, a jazz/r&b group from Shreveport, Louisiana (www.thepolyphonics.com and
www.myspace.com/dorseysummerfield).

Professionally, I have performed as a sideman for artists or groups such as The Manhattans, Jimmy Witherspoon, Tom Browne, Jennifer Holliday, Phyllis Hyman, Sonya Robinson, Henry Johnson, Martha Reeves, The Drifters, The Coasters, The Marvelettes, The Platters, May Palmer, and Shelia Raye Charles.

As a producer and session player, I have done recordings with local jazz, R&B, and Gospel artists such as singer/songwriter Crystal Dawn, saxaphonist Leroy Marshall, guitarist Carvel Avis, James Flounoy Project, gospel recording artist Johnathan Williams, the late trumpeter Manuel Castenada, and vocalist Christopher Naylor.

Heard much of your music and I must say you possess such a great talent.
