Ronnie Rathers, a "Las Vegas Strip" jazz guitar entertainer adopted Wes Montgomery's style of octaves and has taken it to a different level. He has been performing professionally for over 30 years.
In 2002 Ronnie
performed at the Trumpet Awards with Howard Hewitt at the Fitzgerald Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
In 2005-2006 Ronnie
toured Japan, Montreal and other venues with Jack Ashford's Funk Brothers featuring Papa Joe Hunter.
In 2006 Ronnie
performed at the Hills Park Jazz Fest in Las Vegas, Nevada with jazz vocalist Phil Perry.
In 2007 Ronnie
toured Europe and other venues with Jack Ashford's Funk Brothers featuring Papa Joe Hunter. He performed in the following cities/venues in Europe:
- Germany (Berlin, Dortmund, Frankfurt, Hamburg, and Munich)
- Vienna, Austria (Joe Zawinaul's Birdland)
- Milan, Italy
- Amsterdam, Netherland
- England (London - Ronnie Scott's), Manchester, and End of the Sea

Ronnie's interest in music began in his youth while growing up in Lynchburg, Virginia. With family support and the musical influences of George Benson, Wes Montgomery, Stevie Wonder and Donny Hathaway, he was inspired to pursue a career in music and has matured into a passionate musician.
Ronnie has gained recognition for his talents as a guitarist and vocalist. He has performed internationally and in featured engagements at prominent Las Vegas Strip Casinos, (such as Caesars Place, Paris, Harrah's, MGM Grand, Bally's, Sahara, Aladdin, Tropicana, Flamingo, and Riviera).
Ronnie's debut CD "Nut'n But A Groove" showcases Ronnie's musical writing genius as it rips with all original music ranging from smooth, contemporary and cross-over jazz.
