- Avant-garde, a term used synonymously with free jazz, challenged the listener by allowing the musician to choose the musical path rather than follow the traditional approach. Groove is the characteristic that ties underlying and continuous feel. Freestyle is a version in which there are few restrictions on the techniques employed. Genre is the word that defines the category of artistic composition characterized by similarities in style and/or subject matter.
If we all spoke in the same voice none of us would be recognized, if everyone looked the same no one would be more beautiful. This catalog of music defines the aforementioned while conscious of the social and political climate of the time. The only exception, there is no genre and/or method to this other than VIBE!
