About Me:
Born in Washington, D.C. to a family of musicians and singers, he had an ear for music from a very young age. He recalls being captivated by songs like Frankenstein (Edgar Winter) which to this day is one of his favorite songs. As a young kid he could also be found putting rubber bands around books and strumming them like a guitar not knowing he would eventually play one.

It was one day while walking by the local recreation center and hearing a local band playing Sara Smile he was inspired to play an instrument (Drums). After moving a couple years later, he met a local bass player who taught him his first songs and he never looked back. Drums were a little hard to come by for a teenager. While never learning to play drums, you can still hear his love for instrument by the amount of detail included when programming them in songs (Check out Never Forsaken).

He can remember the first time he picked up the bass wanting to “… record my own album”. This was a dream he carried for 29 years as he played in many local groups, learned to play other instruments (Guitar and Keyboards), and learned how to record, mix, and master tracks. The highlight of his music journey during those 29 years was having the opportunity to do a seven date tour of France in 2001.

Pillars and Dreams, his debut CD, is a fulfillment of the original dream to one day “… record my own album” There were many obstacles trying to reach this dream and many times he wanted to give up but there always was something to spark him along. Having gone through the struggle of fulfilling this dream, he would like to inspire others to continue pursing their dreams hence the title “Pillars and Dreams”.
“Pillars are a sign of strength and can often be found standing thousand of years after the original structure has collapsed” says the multi-instrumentalist. He feels each individual can build pillars in their life to hold them up through life’s challenges in order to obtain their dreams.

My understanding is that you can vote once a day. I will let you know of it's different or changes. Happy voting. Drew :-)

The momentum awards are all about the artist doing their thing. Winners will receive their award at the 08 Indie Heaven CIA Summit. Last year I made the top 5 in Jazz and Instrumental artist of the year. This year I am planning to break-out. Be sure to tell your friends. Thanks Drew
